UAW members began striking at the General Motors Customer Care and Aftersale plant on Ecorse Road, west of Denton Road in Van Buren Township, on Friday, Sept. 22.
Just three plants, one from each of the Big Three automakers, had UAW strikes beginning Sept. 15 and then on Sept. 22 it was increased to 38, including this local facility.
This is the same facility visited by President Joe Biden on Sept. 24 when he came to Michigan.
