Shiloh Beaton to perform in ‘H.M.S. Pinafore’

Shiloh Beaton of Belleville will play the part of Josephine in the Michigan Opera Theatre Children’s Chorus presentation of “H.M.S. Pinafore” at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Detroit Opera House. In the Gilbert and Sullivan classic, the ship captain’s daughter Josephine is in love with a lowly sailor, but her father wants her to marry the Monarch of the Queen’s Navy, Sir Joseph. More than 70 young performers, ages 10 through 16 will perform. Shiloh, 15, is the daughter of Nigel and Eloi Beaton.
