On Tuesday, June 12, the Sumpter Township Board of Trustees unanimously passed Emergency Ordinance 111 outlawing synthetic marijuana and other dangerous products.
The ordinance, which will become effective immediately upon publication in the June 21 Independent, makes it a misdemeanor if found guilty of possessing, using, or trafficking in synthetic marijuana and other products or materials that are in a form that allows for human consumption. Many compounds are listed.
