The University of Michigan’s full women’s rowing team will take part in the Michigan Classic on Friday, Nov. 7, on Belleville Lake.
On Oct. 26, U-M was part of a novice-only race at Michigan State University.
On Oct. 19, the U-M rowing team posted a fifth-place finish in the Women’s Championship Eights race at the Head of the Charles, one of the most prestigious regattas held in North America, held on the Charles River. The finish is the best Michigan showing at the Head of the Charles since 2011.
The Wolverines edged Brown for fifth place. There were 34 boats in the Women’s Championship Eights race, one that featured 30 of the top collegiate crews in the nation and four international crews. The women’s “Great Eight” crew from the Cambridge Boat Club took the top spot in the race.
