The Belleville Central Business Community is looking forward to the Taste of Belleville on Thursday, Aug. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Horizon Park on High Street following the Annual Bridge Walk that begins at 5:30 p.m. from the Gateway sign.
In addition to the City of Belleville, presenting sponsors for the Taste are Alicia McGovern – Edward Jones, BellevilleMain, LLC, Jack Demmer Ford, The Butcher Shop, and KSpringer Media Management.
Music will begin at 6 p.m. with Unlimited DJ in Horizon Park, and the Belleville Area Council for the Arts will be hosting its last Music Lakeside with Ghost Town Marshalls taking the stage from 7 to 9 p.m. on High Street.
At 6:30 p.m. the Belleville Rotary will release the ducks for its annual Lucky Ducky Race fundraiser. Tickets may still be available that evening so stop by the table where the big duck will be residing.
Participating in the Taste this year are: Angel Food Catering, Applebee’s, Baan Phad Thai, Belleville Area Kiwanis Club, Benito’s Pizza, the BHS Robotics Team, Confections Factory, Hungry Howie’s Pizza, Jet’s Pizza, Johnny’s on the Lake, Kona Ice, Rachael Lynn’s Catering, Sweeter Days Bakery, The Butcher Shop, Van Buren Public Schools, Wing Fellas, and free balloon art with Sunshine & Balloons. The menu will be published in this newspaper on Thursday, Aug. 21, and as always we look forward to catching up with friends, meeting some new ones, having delicious food, and listening to great music.
