Leo Labean, 39, of Sumpter Township is facing numerous charges stemming from an incident at the home of his ex-wife in the 25000 block of Martinsville Road on Oct. 7.
Sumpter Police Captain Eric Luke said Labean was arraigned Friday at 34th District Court on a five-count warrant. Charges are:
1. Home invasion, 1st degree;
2. Weapons – firearms – discharge in or at a building;
3. Assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault);
4. Weapons – felony firearm; and
5. Domestic violence.
A probable cause conference is set for Oct. 21, with a preliminary exam set for Oct. 28 at 34th District Court in Romulus.
The investigation was handled by Sgt. James Cayce and Officer Jerry Cox, Jr. The case was then presented to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office who approved the charges.
