State Rep. Joe Bellino, R-Monroe, visited schools throughout Monroe and Wayne counties last month in celebration of March is Reading Month.
Rep. Bellino read to students in several school districts, including Airport Community Schools, Flat Rock Community Schools, Jefferson Schools and Monroe Public Schools, as well as Keystone Academy in Sumpter Township, and St. John Catholic School.
“March is Reading Month is about sharing the importance and enjoyment of reading,” Rep. Bellino said. “Reading has the power to benefit children in numerous ways and I hope events like these will inspire students to pick up a book and let their imaginations take over.”
