Shiloh Beaton, 14, of Belleville will be appearing in “A Winter Fantasy” as part of the Michigan Opera Theatre’s 10th-annual anniversary holiday concert and fund raiser at 3 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Detroit Opera House.
Shiloh is among 80 children chosen in open auditions, ages eight to 16, to represent Metro Detroit in the Michigan Opera Theatre’s Children’s Chorus.
The young choristers perform with international opera stars in main-stage productions and in individually produced, fully staged children’s operas in the spring. Tickets are $50 for box seats, $30 for adults, $15 for ages 17 and under and free for children 4 and under. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.michiganopera.org or by calling 313-237-SING. Tickets will also be available at the door.
