At the end of the April 18 work/study session of the Van Buren Public Schools Board of Education, Trustee Sherry Frazier addressed the nasty emails she is getting from an anonymous mailbox.
She said she knows who is sending them and she asked the board member responsible to stop. She directed her comments to a board member sitting at the far end of the table across from her, but did not identify the person.
Frazier said if the letters don’t stop, she will be working with police authorities on the problem.
Frazier told the Independent she has been getting these letters for several years, but they are getting nastier.
Other teachers and administrators who have crossed swords with former School Supt. Michael Van Tassel over the years also have received anonymous letters. It is estimated 70 such letters have been received since last summer by current and past employees and their new employers.
