A Romulus Farmers Market planning meeting is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, at the Romulus Senior Center, 36525 Bibbins St.
Any interested vendors and volunteers are asked to attend. The meeting will address the 2013 schedule, special events, booth fees and available discounts.
The 2013 Romulus Farmers Market season will open on Saturday June 1, 2013. Market days will be Saturdays, June through October, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Market is specifically seeking committed vendors to sell produce, eggs, honey, fresh bread and other craft and food items. Please note that the Market only accepts handmade and locally produced items.
The Market is also looking for interested organizations, people or students to volunteer. Volunteer musicians (individual or ensemble), artists, painters and other entertainers are wanted to perform at the Market throughout the season. A group or individual is sought to sponsor and operate a “Children’s Table” with activities and crafts every week.
