Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, MI-06, will host a hazardous waste forum at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 4, at Wayne County Community College, 9555 Haggerty Rd., with Reps. Rashida Tlaib, MI-12, and Shri Thanedar, MI-13, to provide information and answer questions about the transportation and storage of hazardous wastes in local communities.
The panelists at the forum will include U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Regional Administrator Debra Shore, Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) Acting Director Daniel Eichinger, Norfolk Southern Regional Vice President of Government Relations Herbert Smith, and a representative of Republic Industrial and Energy Solutions (RIES).
