Lydia Marvaso, 14, daughter of Larry and Marianne Marvaso of Van Buren Township, is the current Young Miss America for Pure International Pageants.
She is in the eighth grade at McBride Middle School and is in the honors program.
Lydia will be competing June 15-18 in the International Pageant in Orlando, FL, where she will be representing not only Belleville area and the state of Michigan, but also the USA as she competes against contestants from across the globe.
Pure International Pageants strive to promote the values of good self-esteem, and self-confidence in their contestants. In addition, Pure is committed to supporting the ambitions of its contestants and their community service endeavors.
Lydia dedicates her time to support Wigs-4-Kids, St. Jude, the Arthritis Foundation, and Make-A-Wish Michigan. Lydia is also passionate about representing the 15 million Americans that have food allergies and she’s committed to bringing awareness and sharing the challenges that they face.
