The 83 schools across the country which are run by National Heritage Academies of Grand Rapids requires Voice of the Parent surveys each year.
This year, Keystone Academy of Belleville ranked first of the 83 schools in the “likelihood to reenroll” question to parents. Eighty-nine percent of the Keystone parents gave a positive reply.
At the Keystone Academy school board meeting on Jan. 19, Keystone Principal Ketura Godfrey reported that parents also ranked Keystone high in other questions:
• Satisfied with updates I receive about my child’s academic progress, #3 in the company;
• My child’s classrooms are orderly, caring and safe, #4 in the company;
• Principals and teachers are accessible to discuss my concerns, also #4 in the company;
• School has high expectations for my child, 88%, #5 in the company.
Principal Godfrey also reported a staff survey on cellphones that gave high scores to: Purpose (92%), Trust (89%), School and Culture (88%), Safety (87%), Growth and Empowerment (85%), and Recognition and Feedback (83%).
