Eighteen employees were honored for their years of service at the Jan. 13 meeting of the Van Buren Township Board of Trustees.
Honored for 25 years were Police Sgt. Michael Moening and Assessment Coordinator Linda Stevenson.
Honored for 20 years were Water Worker III Joseph Strickland, Police Sgt. Jeffery Gueli, Police Officer Mark Buxton, Fire Chief Dan Besson, and Police Sgt. Bart DeVos.
Honored for 15 years were Water Worker III Bradley Hine, DPW IIIs Ryan Drotar and Michael Burgor, Account Clerk Tina Grishaber, and Fire Fighters David Schuler and Richard Hamill.
Honored for 10 years were Fire Fighter Charles DeWitt, Deputy Clerk Joanne Montgomery, and Ordinance Enforcement / Animal Control Officer Robert Queener.
Honored for five years of service were Fire Fighter Patrick Laskaska and Police Officer Matthew Raschke.
Seven of those honored came to the lectern to receive their certificates. Montgomery did not come forward and stayed at her post at the board table where she serves as recording secretary. The other 10 honorees did not attend the meeting.
