Eight file for four seats open on Van Buren Public Schools Board of Education

July 26 at 4 p.m. was the deadline to file as a candidate in the Nov. 8 election for four-year seats on the Van Buren Public Schools Board of Education.
Van Buren Township Deputy Clerk Joanne Montgomery reports the following eight candidates have officially filed to be on the Nov. 8 ballot:
• Keith L. Johnston, 39848 E. Huron River Drive, Van Buren Township (Romulus mailing);
• Susan K. Featheringill, 50385 S. I-94 Service Drive, Van Buren Township;
• Simone Pinter, 48496 Ellen Court, Van Buren Township;
• Darlene Loyer Gerick, 47675 Martz Road, Van Buren Township;
• Brent Mikulski, 48792 Fifth Ave., Canton Township;
• Victor De Libera, 44723 Greenbriar, Van Buren Township;
• David Peer, 2511 S. Grove St., Ypsilanti Township’ and
• Kelly A. Owen, 42607 Maude Ct., Van Buren Township.
The seats to be filled are now held by Brent Mikulski, Kelly Owen, Kathy Kovach and Martha Toth.
