Cring & Clazzy will present free performances at 9 and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, at First United Methodist Church, 417 Charles Street, Belleville.
A recent reviewer called them “the biggest two-piece band in America.”
They will be sharing an entertaining and inspirational program called “567: Go tell it from the Mount,” a modern-day look at the Sermon on the Mount using music, stories, and song.
They will also be presenting excerpts of Cring’s new book, “Within,” which has recently been released and reportedly is becoming one of his best-sellers.
The duo has been on the road for 20 years. In the past three years, they have reached 362 cities in 42 states, with 518 performances.
“‘567’ is a program that unites the generations, closes the political gaps and gets us to laugh long enough that we stop fussing with each other,” said Clazzy, who was the first female conductor of an orchestra in the state of Tennessee. She performs on an instrument called the WX5 Wind Machine, a horn making the sounds of 250 different instruments.
The partners will be appearing at the church for one day only and the program will have the audience in and out in less than an hour. For more information, contact the church at 697-9288.
