A crash on I-275 involving three vehicles on Nov. 21 in Van Buren Township killed a Sterling Heights man and critically injured another driver.
Michigan State Police said the crash occurred at 12:47 p.m. on northbound I-275 near Ecorse Road.
A 30-year-old father from Sterling Heights was dead at the scene. A second driver was taken by helicopter to the University Hospital in Ann Arbor, where he was listed in critical condition.
A third person was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
The accident reportedly involved a car hauler that rear-ended a white box truck, sending it into a semi that rolled several times. The deceased person was in the box truck.
The accident is under investigation by the Michigan State Police accident reconstructionist.
Van Buren Township Fire Fighters were on the scene. I-275 was closed until about 8 p.m.
