On Friday, Oct. 9, Belleville Police Cpl. Kris Faull arrested a Belleville High School student who was selling drugs inside BHS.
Belleville Police Chief Hal Berriman said Cpl. Faull, who is the long-time school resource officer, said this is the first time a student was arrested for selling cocaine at BHS.
The 17-year-old male student was arrested and released until the narcotics can be verified at the Michigan State Police lab. Chief Berriman said he is out on a “not in custody warrant” on a charge of “possession with intent to deliver” and is yet to be arraigned.
Chief Berriman said Cpl. Faull confiscated the suspected cocaine, along with pills, marijuana, more than $200 in cash, a scale, and baggies.
“It was a good arrest,” Chief Berriman said of Cpl. Faull’s work.
