The number of positive tests for COVID-19 remained at 360 for May 28 and 29 and then went up to 362 on May 30 and 31. Deaths attributed to the novel coronavirus in 48111 have remained at 29 for May 29, 30, 31 and June 1.
On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, the numbers released by the Wayne County Health Department for the tri-community were: Van Buren Township, 178 cases, 14 deaths; City of Belleville, 152 cases, 14 deaths, and Sumpter Township 32 cases 1 death.
