In 34th District Court Judge David Parrott’s courtroom on July 13, Albert Lewis Riley, 27, waived his preliminary exam on charges of kidnapping and criminal sexual conduct – 4th degree with multiple variables in Sumpter Township on July 18, 2015.
The warrant for his arrest was issued July 20, 2015.
A special Wayne County Prosecutor told Judge Parrott the People had no objection to the waiver.
Riley is due at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice in Detroit at 9 a.m. on July 27 to face an arraignment on the information.
He is free after posting $50,000/10% bond. His retained attorney is Jonathan Jones and officer in charge of the case is Sumpter Det. John Toth.
Rickey Lashun Tillman
Rickey Lashun Tillman, 33, waived his preliminary exam on charges of receiving and concealing a stolen motor vehicle and unauthorized driving away of a motor vehicle on July 1 in Van Buren Township.
Judge Parrott bound him over to circuit court for an arraignment on the information on July 20. Tillman was before Judge Parrott by video from the Wayne County Jail where he was lodged on $20,000/10% bond.
VBT Det. Ken Toney is the officer in charge of the case.
Meagan Christin Masterson
Meagan Chris Masterson, 27, waived her preliminary exam on two charges of possession of analogues, one count of possession of marijuana, and one count of driving while license suspended, all on Sept. 1, 2015 in VBT. She was bound over by Judge Parrott for an arraignment on the information to be held July 27 at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice in Detroit. Her personal recognizance bond of $10,000 was continued.
Masterson’s retained attorney is Kevin Ernst and VBT Det. Donovan McCarthy is the officer in charge of the case.
Jimmy Kent Bentley
Jimmy Kent Bentley, 51, waived his preliminary exam on a charge of unlawful use of a motor vehicle on July 2 in VBT. Judge Parrott bound him over to circuit court for an arraignment on the information on July 27.
Bentley’s court-appointed attorney is Robert Zaranek and officer in charge of the case is VBT Det. Ken Toney.
Karl Vincent Weber
Karl Vincent Weber, 26, waived his preliminary exam on charges of operation while intoxicated-3rd, driving while license suspended-2nd, and operating a motorcycle without endorsement on Sept. 14, 2015 in VBT.
Judge Parrott bound him over to circuit court to face the charges on July 27. His court-appointed attorney Frederick K. Smith reported the Wayne County Prosecutor had offered no plea deal.
Weber has been labeled a habitual offender. His personal recognizance bond of $10,000 was continued. Officer in charge of the case is Det. Mark Buxton.
Loretta Ann Tocco
The probable cause conference was adjourned to another date for Loretta Ann Tocco, 54, on a charge of operating while intoxicated-3rd in VBT on Dec. 24, 2015. She is labeled a habitual offender.
Her bond had been set at $10,000/10%. VBT Det. Donovan McCarthy is the officer in charge of the case.
