Couple walking in Metropark find body of man on path

At around noon on Friday, May 17, an elderly couple walking the Woods Creek Rustic Trails of the Lower Huron Metropark found the body of a man.
Officials said the man’s death appears to be of natural causes.
The Huron Clinton Metropark police asked Van Buren Township for mutual aid by bringing their Kubota utility vehicle to enter the wet parkland.
According to a witness, VBT Police and Fire staged in the 15000 block of Haggerty Road and headed east on a long driveway to a home bordering the park.
