Chamber honors Acho, Neal, Egan’s Pub at annual awards dinner

More than 100 guests attended the awards dinner held by the Belleville Area Chamber of Commerce on Sept. 25.
The guests took part in honoring this year’s awards winners, said Chamber Executive Director Paul Henning.
Beverly E. Neal of Higgerson and Neal Funeral Home in Belleville received the Ted Kuckelman Award for displaying long-term support and community service.
Roy Acho of Benito’s restaurant and Five Star party store in Sumpter Township received the Leona Van Buhler Award for being an individual dedicated to business and support of the business community.
Egan’s Pub was honored as this year’s Business of the Year.
Five chamber members were recognized for years of membership:
• 30 years: Belleville Area District Library and Sumpter Township;
• 25 years: Water’s Edge Apartments; and
• 20 years: Remax Crossroads and Stoney Creek Motor Sports.
