‘Armed robbery’ call turns out instead of be ‘suspicious situation’

A call to Van Buren Township emergency dispatch that came in as an “armed robbery” turned out to be a “suspicious situation” at Chase Bank on Rawsonville Road at 3:01 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18.
VBT Police Lt. Ken Floro said the situation was investigated by police and Chase Corporate Security. The information was also passed on to the FBI for reporting purposes, but there was no criminal activity related to this incident, Lt. Floro said.
