Team Schostak Family Restaurants’ 100 eateries, including the Applebee’s restaurant at 10526 Belleville Road in Van Buren Township, are hosting fund raisers on Aug. 18 aiming to raise $25,000 to fight Type 1 Diabetes.
The statewide Dine to Donate event will benefit JDRF (formerly known as Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
Throughout the day, 10% of all guests’ food sales from the restaurants will be donated to JDRF.
A leading global organization, JDRF is exclusively focused on ending Type 1
Diabetes, which is an autoimmune disease impacting 1.25 million Americans. The funds will be earmarked toward accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat Type 1 Diabetes
and its complications.
