Constellium VBT teams win recognition for performance excellence

Constellium’s annual Thank You Awards celebrate teams across the company for their efforts and achievements in the areas of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) & Sustainability, Operational Excellence, Customers and Innovation.
This year, teams from Automotive Structures North American (ASNA) won silver awards for EHS & Sustainability and for Customer. The Van Buren plant was recognized for its, “Being the best starts with EHS” program, which implemented an employee safety team, instilled a culture of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance and led to more than one year of no recordable injuries.
The Ford customer team secured significant new business in 2017, expanding ASNA’s relationship with this key customer into new product segments and electric vehicles. Both teams were honored at a special ceremony in April.

The Automotive Structures & Industry business unit won six Thank You Awards this year, including gold in the innovation category for HSA6™, a new family of high-strength alloys for automotive structural components. HSA6 is already in production on automotive programs in both Europe and North America. AS&I also shared the gold award for Operational Excellence with Aerospace & Transportation for the turnaround both business units achieved at the Valais site in Switzerland.
