A grand-opening celebration and plant tour of Constellium’s new automotive aluminum manufacturing plant in White, GA, will take place May 11, with remarks by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal and Constellium CEO Jean-Marc Germain.
The Constellium Automotive Structures plant will help to meet the growing industry demand for lighter-weight vehicles.
Constellium Automotive USA is located at 6331 Schooner Drive in Van Buren Township. Constellium makes aluminum lightweight auto parts and has a contract with Ford Motor Company to make crash management systems for its F-150 aluminum pickups.
A Constellium executive told the Van Buren Township Board of Trustees the engineering is fairly sophisticated and there are more robots moving in the shop than people.
Constellium executives and subject matter experts will be available May 11 to address the new plant and its products, the company’s continued growth, advanced aluminum solutions, and trends to address light-weighting, improved safety, and thermal management, etc.
Constellium Automotive Structures specializes in advanced aluminum automotive structural, safety, and thermal management applications – for niche to high-volume vehicles, and entry-level to luxury segments.
