Van Buren Township Police investigated VBT Fire Fighter Michael Shores for alleged fraudulent activity at the Van Buren Urgent Care on Belleville Road.
Employees allege that they paid Shores for CPR training that they never received.
The Wayne County Prosecutor’s office issued an eight-count misdemeanor warrant that includes four counts of larceny by conversion less than $200 and four counts of false pretenses less than $200. Each charge is a 93-day misdemeanor.
Shores turned himself in, was arrested, processed, and arraigned by 34th District Court Judge David Parrott. A not-guilty plea was entered and Shores was released on $5,000/10% personal bond.
The pre-trial is scheduled for 9 a.m., Wednesday, April 12. Firefighter Shores is currently suspended from duty without pay pending an internal investigation.
