Nelson S Po, 67, of Sumpter Township was due for an arraignment and pretrial for a misdemeanor on Sept. 7 before 34th District Court Judge Tina Brooks Green, but the session was rescheduled to 9 a.m., Sept. 28.
Van Buren Township Police have charged Po with one count of molesting or disturbing workers on Oct. 29, 2015.
Po is accused of causing a problem by bothering Sumpter Township Trustee Don Swinson at his job at Atchinson Ford in VBT.
Det. Mark Buxton is the officer in charge of the case. Ronald Ruark is Po’s retained attorney.
This charge will be heard at the same court session at 9 a.m., Sept. 28, when Po’s probable cause conference will be held on one felony charge of delivery / manufacture of 5-45 kilograms of marijuana or 20-200 plants on Aug. 16 in Sumpter Township. Sumpter Detective John Toth is in charge of this case.
Michael Scott Kane
Michael Scott Kane, 46, was due for his probable cause conference on Sept. 14 before Judge Tina Brooks Green, but his retained attorney David Rudoi asked for a competency hearing. Kane is scheduled for his next exam on Oct. 5 at 34th District Court.
Kane is free after posting $25,000/10% bond on four felony charges: unarmed robbery, unauthorized driving away of a motor vehicle, receiving and concealing stolen property more than $1,000 but less than $20,000, and receiving and concealing a stolen vehicle on May 9 in Van Buren Township.
