Kathy Bailey, a retired teacher who lives in Willis, will start up a new round of free classes to teach family history research for personal enrichment and to share with family.
Classes will run for six Thursdays beginning Sept. 8 and running through Oct. 13 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 941 South Grove, Ypsilanti 48197.
She will teach basic genealogical research and research tools. Participants will learn how to use huge online databases, including FamilySearch.org and Ancestry.com .
Classes will include technologies for doing research, organizing family information, and learning of records that are available for various locations worldwide during different periods of time.
