Attorneys Barbara Rogalle Miller and Kathlene Walch will give a free presentation on how to save your home from Medicaid and give it to your children.
The informational session is at 3 p.m. on Feb. 23 at Belleville First United Methodist Church, 417 Charles Street, in downtown Belleville. Call to reserve a seat at (734) 697-9288. The event is presented by the United Methodist Women.
To be discussed is the Lady Bird Deed Law and legal definition. It is a variation of a quit claim deed that enables a person to retain his/her home and keep it exempt from Medicaid claims during the person’s lifetime and, at the same time, enables the homeowner to name a person to receive the home upon the homeowner’s death.
