Clarification: Driver of Davenport Construction truck is handicapped

Louis Barnes of Van Buren Township said he is the one who drives the Davenport Brothers Construction flatbed truck loaded with construction equipment that regularly parks in handicapped spaces at Meijer.
Barnes brought in his handicapped card that he hangs in the truck to the Independent to show he is deemed handicapped by the state of Michigan.
He said he had a heart attack and has trouble breathing and is trying to work for a living. He demanded an apology in the paper.
We apologize for upsetting Barnes. He agreed the picture was true.
