Lauren Francis Phillips
Lauren Francis Phillips, 24, of Ypsilanti and formerly of Van Buren Township, is charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault) and domestic violence on July 18 in Van Buren Township. She was video-arraigned in custody on July 18 and personal bond set at $5,000. She was due for a probable cause conference on Sept. 3, but she was in the hospital and the court got proof from Skyway Recovery. The probable cause conference was reset for Oct. 8, but the court got word that she had left the facility against medical and clinical advice. Her preliminary exam was set for Nov. 19. She is to have no contact with the protected party.
Nahsja Denise McCullough
Nahsja Denise McCullough, 27, of Van Buren Township is charged with assault with intent to cause great bodily harm less than murder (strangulation) and assault or assault and battery on Sept. 25 in Van Buren Township. She was arraigned outcounty on Sept. 27 and personal bond set at $50,000. A probable cause conference was held Oct. 8 and a preliminary exam set for Oct. 15, then changed to Nov. 12.
Jeremy Mark Watson
Jeremy Mark Watson of Belleville is charged with two counts of operating while intoxicated – third offense on Jan. 28, 2024 in the city of Belleville. A warrant was issued and on June 6, 2025 he hired an attorney and a probable cause conference was set for July 9. A probable cause conference was held Aug. 6 and a probable cause conference set for Aug. 27 and then Sept. 8 and Sept. 17 and set again for Oct. 8 and then Oct. 22. He failed to appear and a warrant was issued on Oct. 23 and canceled on Oct. 24. A probable cause conference was set for Nov. 19. On Oct. 28, the defendant was welcomed into DT court and will be under the probation module if the plea allows the charge to be reduced to a misdemeanor.
Davery Ricky Spearman
Davery Ricky Spearman, 30, of Romulus is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault), felony firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon on Nov. 22, 2024 in Van Buren Township. The complaint was issued on June 14, 2025 and a warrant issued. He was arraigned and a probable cause conference held on Oct. 8 and a preliminary exam held on Oct. 22. He was bound over to circuit court for a Nov. 5 arraignment on the information.
Cody Ray Roberts
Cody Ray Roberts, previously of Sumpter Township and now of Westland, was scheduled for his preliminary exam on Oct. 15 on charges of assault to do great bodily harm less than murder – strangulation, domestic violence, driving while license suspended, and malicious destruction of property in Sumpter Township on Aug. 13. Personal bond was $75,000.
All the charges were dismissed on Oct. 15 because there was no complaining victim present. Case closed.
Richard Louis Hollie
Richard Louis Hollie of Detroit is charged with retail fraud – first degree on Sept. 4, 2022 in Van Buren Township. A bench warrant was issued when he failed to appear for a Oct. 25, 2022 court date. Bond is $5,000/10%. He was present for a probable cause conference on Oct. 15, 2025 and his warrant was cancelled. A probable cause conference was adjourned until Oct. 29. At that time the defendant’s attorney failed to appear, so the probable cause conference was reset for Nov. 5.
Harold Eugene Robinson
Harold Eugene Robinson was video arraigned in custody on Oct. 21 on a charge of home invasion-first degree on Oct. 18 in the city of Belleville. Bond is $50,000/10%. A probable cause conference was held Oct. 29 and his preliminary exam set for Nov. 5.
William Joseph Huziak
William Joseph Huziak was video arraigned in custody on Oct. 21 on charges of assault with intent to inflict physical harm less than death (strangulation) and domestic violence on Oct. 18 in Sumpter Township. Personal bond is $5,000/10% and he is not to be released without a GPS. A probable cause conference was set for Oct. 29 and a preliminary exam for Nov. 5. On Oct. 29 the probable cause conference was held and the exam date changed to Dec. 10.
Christopher Michael Kreutzer
Christopher Michael Kreutzer, 39, of Romulus was video-arraigned in custody on Oct. 21 for interfering with police on Oct. 19 in Van Buren Township. Personal bond is $5,000 and he is not to be released without a GPS. Probable cause conference is Nov. 20.
Kaleal Darnell Smith
Kaleal Darnell Smith of Ypsilanti was charged with malicious destruction of property under $200 on June 9 in Sumpter Township. He was arraigned June 12 and personal bond set at $500. A pretrial was set for July 9 and then for July 30. A showcause hearing was set for Sept. 9 by zoom. The final pretrial was set for Oct. 22 and the complaining victim must appear. The charges were then dropped by the complaining party and the case dismissed. Case closed.
Jeffrey Alan Kovl
Jeffrey Alan Kovl, 38, of Van Buren Township, had been charged with reckless use of a gun and gun possession while under the influence on June 16, 2024 in Van Buren Township. He pled guilty to the first charge and the second charge was dismissed. The court recently was informed of a new charge while he is on probation from his guilty plea. A case review had been set for Jan. 12, 2026. A showcause hearing was set for Oct. 22, but he failed to appear and so a warrant is out for his arrest.
Tierra Mone McCullough
Tierra Mone McCullough of Detroit was charged with assault and battery on Sept. 25 in Van Buren Township. Her arraignment/pretrial was set for Oct. 22. The defendant appeared as scheduled and she was set for a final pretrial on Dec. 3. Personal bond is $1,000. There is to be no contact with the victim.
Marsha Lynne Devore
Marsha Lynne Devore, 42, of Sumpter Township was video-arraigned in custody on Oct. 23 by Judge Martin on five counts of retail fraud in Van Buren Township.
The dates are Sept. 27, Sept. 30 (two counts), Oct. 21 at 6:02 p.m., and Oct. 21 at 7:14 p.m.
Bond is $1,000/10% on four cases and a pretrial for them all was set for in person before Judge Oakley on Nov. 6.
Travis Moore
Travis Moore of Oak Park was video arraigned in custody on Oct. 24 on a bench warrant concerning charges of organized retail crime and retail crime-second offense on Aug. 11, 2024 in Van Buren Township. The charges were entered on June 3, 2025.
His probable cause conference was set for Nov. 5 and his preliminary exam for Nov. 12.
Chad Michael Jones
Chad Michael Jones, 34, of Sumpter Township, was video-arraigned in custody on Oct. 24 on three outstanding bench warrants.
They included possession of narcotics on July 31, 2025 from Western Wayne Narcotics and two driving while license suspended charges, one in 2019 in Huron Township and one in 2020 in Sumpter Township. Probable cause conference on the narcotics charge is Nov. 5 and exam is Nov. 11. Personal bond is $5,000.
Remote pretrials for the Huron Township and Sumpter Township charges will be Nov. 13 and personal bond is $3,000 for each of the charges.
Richard Wayne Parks
Richard Wayne Parks, 43, of Van Buren Township was video-arraigned in custody on Oct. 29 on a charge of domestic violence in Van Buren Township. He was set for a remote pretrial by zoom on Nov. 12. Personal bond is $2,000.
Brooke Ashley Andrzejewski
Brooke Ashley Andrzejewski of Van Buren Buren Township was video-arraigned in custody on Oct. 28. She is charged with two counts of assault on a police officer, operating with a blood alcohol content of .17 or more, operating while intoxicated, and open alcohol container in vehicle on Oct. 26 in Van Buren Township. Her personal bond was set at $10,000, her probable cause conference set for Nov. 5, and her preliminary exam scheduled Nov. 12. Judge Oakley said he was not issuing a no-contact order at this time due to lack of context. The officer in charge was not present at the arraignment to give additional information.
Shawn Michael Ludeman
Shawn Michael Ludeman of Sumpter Township was video arraigned in custody on Oct. 29 on charges of fleeing police in a vehicle-3rd degree and refusing to give a DNA sample on Oct. 28 in the city of Belleville. His personal bond is $5,000. A probable cause conference was set for Nov. 12 and his preliminary exam for Nov. 19.
Jacob Anthony Jones
Jaacob Anthony Jones of Westland was video-arraigned in custody on Oct. 29 on a charge of operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .17 or more on Oct. 29 in Van Buren Township. Personal bond was set at $1,000. His pretrial was set for Nov. 24.
Mark Adam Maclean
Mark Adam Maclean of Van Buren Township was video-arraigned Oct. 29 on a bench warrant for operating while intoxicated on Nov. 19, 2022 in Van Buren Township. On April 10, 2024 he failed to appear on the case and a warrant was issued. Pretrial was set for Nov. 24. Judge Oakley said he would give him another chance to appear even though he had failed to appear twice before. Judge Oakley set a personal bond of $2,000.
Lamar Allen Respress
Lamar Allen Respress of Detroit was video-arraigned in custody on Oct. 29 on a charge of larceny by conversion, $1,000 to $20,000, in Sumpter Township on June 6, 2023. Bond was set at $20,000/10%. A probable cause conference was scheduled for Nov. 12 and a preliminary exam for Nov. 19.
Anthia Kimberley Brooks
Anthia Kimberley Brooks of Detroit was set for a jury trial before Judge Patton on Oct. 30 on a charge of malicious destruction of property on April 26, 2025 in Van Buren Township. Instead of the trial, she pled guilty to the charge and was immediately ordered to pay a $1,500 fee on a payment plan and given six months of probation for a delayed sentence.
Sydney Jade Pree
Sydney Jade Pree of Van Buren Township was arraigned Oct. 29 on charges of possession of narcotic or cocaine less than 25 grams, police officer assault and operating while intoxicated-2nd on Oct. 4, 2022 in Van Buren Township. Her attorney called the court and said she wanted to turn herself in. Her probable cause conference was set for Nov. 12 and personal bond set at $10,000. It was adjourned for discovery and to review the prosecutor’s offer.
Matthew Lee Hurst
Matthew Lee Hurst of Van Buren Township was present for his remote pretrial on Oct. 29 on a charge of domestic violence on Oct. 13 in Van Buren Township. He had been video-arraigned in custody on Oct. 16. Personal bond is $1,000. The final pretrial was set for Nov. 19 and the complaining victim must appear.
Benjamin David Mee
Benjamin David Mee of Van Buren Township was video-arraigned in custody on Nov. 3 on a charge of domestic violence in Van Buren Township on Oct. 31. Bond was set at $5,000/10% and a remote pretrial on Nov. 19. He is to have no contact of any kind with the victim and not return to the place of the offense.
Kurtis Allen Nofz
Kurtis Allen Nofz, 61, of the city of Belleville was video-arraigned in custody on Oct. 2 on a charge of malicious destruction of a building, from $1,000 to $20,000, on April 2 in Van Buren Township. The charge was authorized Sept. 11 and a warrant issued Sept. 12. The warrant was lifted at arraignment and personal bond set at $5,000.
An in-person probable cause conference before Judge Oakley was set for Oct. 15 and a live preliminary exam before Judge Oakley for Oct. 22.
The defendant’s daughter told the court that the defendant will be at the University of Michigan Hospital beginning Oct. 6 for a medical procedure and will be at the U of M for some time after the procedure. Judge Martin advised the defendant at the arraignment to provide proof of hospitalization for Judge Oakley’s consideration for a zoom appearance on Oct. 15.
The defendant dropped off hospital paperwork for the court to review. A probable cause virtual conference was set for Oct. 29 and virtual preliminary exam on Nov. 5. On Oct. 29 the probable cause conference was held and another probable cause conference set for Nov. 19 so the attorney can seek diversion. The Nov. 5 exam was removed from the calendar.
Henry Avery Driver, Jr.
Henry Avery Driver, Jr., of Vassar, is charged with assaulting / resisting / obstructing a police officer on Oct. 3 in Van Buren Township. He was video-arraigned in custody on Oct. 6 by Judge Martin. His probable cause conference was held Oct. 15 and preliminary exam set for Oct. 22. Bond is $2,500/10%.
Van Buren Maroney III
Van Buren Maroney III, 51, of Willis was arraigned in custody on Oct. 6 by Judge Martin for carrying a concealed weapon and driving while license suspended on Oct. 4 in Sumpter Township. His probable cause conference was set for Oct. 15 and his preliminary exam for Oct. 22. That was changed to Nov. 26. Personal bond is $5,000.
On Oct. 6, he also was arraigned on a bench warrant on an operating while intoxicated charge from Sept. 9, 2019 in Van Buren Township. His jury trial had been delayed because of the COVID state of emergency. He was waiting for a new date and then failed to appear for a July 21, 2022 pretrial. A bench warrant was issued. A pretrial was set for Oct. 16 and personal bond set at $5,000.
