New EV charging stations installed in library parking lot July 14

On July 14, new electric vehicle charging stations were put in place in the city of Belleville. The first installed were in the library parking lot next to the former post office that is being renovated to become the new city hall. Two years ago, on July 24, 2023, the Belleville City Council advised the city administration to move forward with the 10-year agreement with Charge EV, LLC to put EV charging stations in all the parks and parking lots in the city, at no charge to the city. The company would charge customers and give a small percentage of that back to the city.
