Board of education honors music students for 2024-25 awards

Kathy Courter, band director at Owen Intermediate School, presented the names of the following music students for 2024-25 recognition by the Van Buren Public Schools Board of Education at its regular meeting March 10.
• Tyler Elementary School – Isabelle Vargas, Gabriella James, and Damarius Boone;
• Savage Elementary School – Rebecca Loria and Victoria Cannon;
• Edgemont Elementary School – Emily O’Keefe, Terra Pittman, and Grayson Pruchnik;
• Rawsonville Elementary School – Abigail Dyda and Jaquea Dunlap;
• Owen Intermediate School Music – Justin Ratcliff and Caroline Garaba;
• Owen Intermediate School Band – Mari Ross, Oliver Davenport, and Laniya Yeager;
• McBride Middle School Choir – Jazlynn Galvan and Jace Tharp;
• McBride Middle School Band – Laiana Tomlin and Lauren Harris;
• Belleville High School Choir – Julianna DeGiorgio and Alston Kilbourne; and
• Belleville High School Band – Bryant McGee, Maelee Templeton, and Aubrey Jones.
