On Saturday, Nov. 9, Boy Scout Troop 231, Cub Scout Pack 793, and Girl Scout Troop 775 held a food drive and received and donated 281 bags of food to the Emergency Food Closet housed at the Belleville First United Methodist Church located at 417 Charles St.
After unloading, they date-checked, sorted, and shelved the food.
“Thank you, scouts, for helping to feed the hungry in our community,” said Marilyn Wood, coordinator, Emergency Food Closet.
