Harmond Darnell Rolland
Harmond Darnell Rolland, 21, of Canton and formerly of Sumpter Township was video-arraigned in 34th District Court by Magistrate Al Hindman on June 5 while in police custody. He is charged with assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault) and two counts of felony firearm on June 3 in Sumpter Township.
Bond was set at $75,000/10% and a probable cause conference set for June 18. He was ordered not to return to the protected address, to have no contact with the protected party, and cannot possess a firearm while on bond.
On June 18, his live preliminary exam was set for July 24 and at that time he was bound over to circuit court for an arraignment on the information. A calendar conference was Aug. 7 and a final conference set for Sept. 25.
Cylenthia LaToye Miller
On Aug. 1, Cylenthia LaToye Miller of Flat Rock asked for a adjournment of her remote pretrial in 34th District Court until Sept. 16 in hopes of a global resolution on that charge and another “tangential” charge in another court.
Miller, who is a Wayne County Circuit Court Judge, is charged with a check-point violation at Detroit Metro Airport on June 8. Her original arraignment/pretrial was set for July 1 and adjourned until July 15 and then Aug. 1.
Transportation Safety Agents reported she carried a loaded firearm through the airport and they alerted airport police who brought the charge. She was on her way to catch a flight on June 8 and the TSA found a loaded .380 caliber Smith and Wesson firearm in her purse through the x-ray scanner.
Defense attorney Todd Perkins said his client pleads not-guilty to the charge and asked an adjournment of the case. Judge Martin set the personal bond at $5,000, and adjourned the pretrial until Aug. 1 and then Sept. 16.
