The Belleville Area Museum will present a program on “Eloise” at 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, at the museum at 405 Main St., in Belleville.
The history of the poorhouse, asylum, and hospital will be told by featured lecturer Tyler Moll of the Wayne Historical Museum.
Eloise, at 30712 Michigan Ave. in Westland, is one of Michigan’s greatest attractions for everyone from paranormal enthusiasts to history buffs. Constructed in 1839 as a psychiatric hospital, Eloise offers more than 100 years of stories.
Those attending can get free pizza at 5:30 p.m. if they RSVP by emailing [email protected] .
In 2022, Hauntworld Magazine named Eloise Asylum as the fifth-scariest place in the United States.
The program on Eloise was previously scheduled at the museum, but was canceled.
