Quote was $94,900, Leanna was present
Sumpter Township contractor and resident Eric Partridge said the quote the township board approved for his work on the fence and sign for Martinsville Cemetery was actually $94,900, not the $7,900 quoted in our story in the Oct. 12 edition of the Independent. He said the price we printed would have been quite a bargain for them, although the price the board approved was a good bargain, as well. We regret the error.
We have been advised that Olivia Vitti, third-place winner in the ages 6-12 category in the Art Show pictured on last week’s front page, was not present for the picture. Leanna Scott, second place winner, was in the picture. We regret the mixup and apologize.
