Sumpter Media Center ribbon cutting moved to Monday, Jan. 13

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Sumpter Media Center has been rescheduled to 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13.
Belleville Area District Library Director Mary Jo Suchy said, “We are delaying this until after the holidays in order to make sure the mill work is installed and all of the furniture has been delivered. We still hope to have a soft opening of the branch prior to Jan. 13.”
Media Center is the new branch of the Belleville Area District Library and is located in the hexagon building directly across Sumpter Road from the Sumpter Township Hall.
The ribbon cutting had originally been scheduled for Dec. 14.
