A dozen applications are being sought for the Belleville Strawberry Queen Pageant by the April 30 deadline.
This year’s Queen will receive a $1,000 scholarship, a trophy, and gifts. Second and third runners-up will each receive a $500 scholarship and gifts.
Each entrant must be a resident of the Belleville area, be single and between the ages of 16 and 20. The applicant must compete in a dance performance by the entire group, perform their talent, model evening wear, and answer questions presented by the moderator.
The pageant will be held at 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 19, at the Belleville High School Auditorium.
The first 12 qualified applicants who complete an entry form and send in a recent picture will be entered in the contest.
Send the completed form and picture by the deadline to chairwoman Joyce Rochowiak, 43250 Tyler Road, Belleville 48111.
