Mary Lee, Anthony Kuchta celebrate 70 years of marriage

Mary Lee Shaffer Kuchta, Belleville High School class of 1950, and Anthony S. Kuchta, Sr., BHS class of 1949, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on March 16 at the Pelican Yacht Club in Fort Pierce, FL. The couple, who eloped and married while still in high school, has eight children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, most of whom attended the large party. Anthony retired from an engineering career at Ford Motor Co., with assignments in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and London, England. As part of the party’s entertainment, great-grandchildren from Hawaii did a hula dance.
