Belleville attorney Barbara Rogalle Miller alerts the community to the Free Wayne County Child Support Help Program that will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 8, at the Friends Auditorium in the Main Detroit Public Library, 5201 Woodward Ave.
The event is presented by the Detroit Public Library’s Social Science, Education and Religion Department, and is sponsored by the Salvation Army’s William Booth Legal Aid Clinic and the Third Judicial Circuit Court of Michigan.
Attorneys and child-support professionals will be available to answer questions specific to your case. Participants are asked to bring their current court orders and Friend of the Court financial information to receive this individualized type of assistance.
Participants should contact the Customer Service Call Center at (877) 543-2660 and have a financial printout mailed to you for this clinic.
Attorneys can help you prepare a motion to modify child support, motions for payment plans, parenting time/custody motion, and if you qualify, they will help you apply for the Michigan State Arrearage Forgiveness Program.
The program is kicking off its Wayne County Child Support Bench Warrant Amnesty Program in an arrest-free zone.
Bring in $500 per warrant and valid ID and they can dismiss your child support warrant on site! People are invited to take advantage of this no-risk opportunity while it lasts.
