Democrat Reggie Miller, a trustee on the Van Buren Township Board of Trustees for 10 years, has won a 2-year seat in the Michigan House of Representatives to represent the new 31st district.
“I’m honored to have received the support of the 31st district,” Miller said. “Thank you to everyone who has helped me get to this place over the last 25+ years. I can’t wait to get to Lansing to continue to advocate for the communities across my district and Michigan.”
Van Buren Township Supervisor Kevin McNamara said it is yet to be determined who the board will replace Miller with for the final two years of her trustee term. He said he’s sure it will be someone who has volunteered on behalf of the township over the years.
