VBT terminates Mullen as director of planning, economic development

Arthur Mullen of Grosse Pointe, who was hired by Van Buren Township just over a year ago to be director of planning and economic development, was terminated May 19, after a closed-door board session to evaluate his employment.
VBT Supervisor Linda Combs said it was a board decision. A staff member from planning consultant McKenna Associates will fill in until the position is filled, she said.
