Van Buren Township resident arraigned on felony assault charges

Kojuan Jamel Quiles, 46, of Van Buren Township, was virtually arraigned on Dec. 28 by 34th District Court Magistrate Alan Hindman on charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault), and domestic violence in Van Buren Township on Dec. 26.
Bond was set at $10,000/10% and Quiles is to have no contact with the victim or with an address on Bog Road, where he lived.
A probable cause conference before Judge Tina Brooks Green was scheduled for 9:30 a.m., Jan. 6.
