• Friday, Oct. 10 — Belleville High School Homecoming football game, 7 p.m., vs. John Glenn.
• Friday, Oct. 10, through Sunday, Oct. 12: Community Art Show at the Belleville Yacht Club. On Friday the opening reception is 7-9 p.m. On Saturday the show is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free and open to the public.
• Saturday, Oct. 11 – Pancake Breakfast at the Van Buren Township fire hall on Belleville Road, 9-11 a.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 11, Harvest Fest at the library, museum, and Fourth Street Place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tractor parade expected after 11 a.m. Harvest Market, Unlimited DJ, Music by Regis & Friends at the Library, harpist Patricia Tait at the museum, Sunshine & Balloons, and Nickle Dig at the Library at 2 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 11 – Sumpter Township Fire Department open house, 20550 Sumpter Rd., 1-5 p.m. Tour the fire trucks and the fire house, meet the fire fighters, and enjoy free snacks and refreshments.
• Saturday, Oct. 11 – Michigan Flight Museum presents a fundraising Hangar Party Korean War Dance from 5-8 p.m. at the Roush Aeronautics Center, 48075 Tyler Rd., Van Buren Township, at Willow Run Airport. Live big band, dance lessons, food and drinks. Admission, $85. See the magnificent C-47 up close.
• Saturday, Oct. 11 – Wayne County Household Hazardous Waste collection, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wayne County Community College, 21000 Northline Rd., Taylor 48180. Only household generated products from Wayne County residents will be accepted. Information: www.waynecounty.com or (734) 326-3936.
• Saturday, Oct. 11 – The Belleville Rotary Club will host Trivia Nite from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Van Buren Eagle’s Hall on Beck Road. There also will be pizza and a salad buffet, 50/50, and raffles, all for $25 per person.
