On Friday, May 16, six sculptures were installed in downtown Belleville as part of the Downtown Development Authority’s agreement with the Midwest Sculpture Initiative. The sculptures are on loan to the City of Belleville for one year. The loan was made possible by 15 donations from the community, along with DDA funds.
At the Main Street sidewalk on Fourth Street Square is “Area 51” by Todd Kime of Ottawa Hills, OH.
At the parking lot side of the Fourth Street Square is “Heavy Metal” by Robert Pollack of Grand Ledge, MI.
At Five Points is “Blast” by Ray Katz of Pontiac, MI.
At Horizon Park on High Street is “Ghost Laker” by Laila Voss of Cleveland, OH.
In front of Chase Bank, between two planters, is “Metropolis” by Israel and Eric Nordin of Detroit.
At the entrance to the city, at the Welcome to Belleville sign, is “Great Conversation” by Robert Garcia of Toledo, OH.
