Over the next three weeks, DTE Energy will be installing new LED lighting at the Van Buren Township Hall parking lots.
“Partnership with DTE Energy on this project brings savings to our energy and usage costs,” said VBT Supervisor Kevin McNamara.
The new LED lighting will increase, visibility, safety and will save money on the township’s electric bill, he said.
“If you plan on visiting the township hall for one of our fantastic programs or services, you may find areas of the parking lot blocked off for the construction/installation of the new lights,” Supervisor McNamara said.
“Please note that only small areas of parking will be closed at one time. During construction, there will always be parking available close to an entrance. It just may not be the one you are used to using.
“So, with this small inconvenience, we will have an even brighter, safer parking lot,” McNamara said. “Thank you for your understanding during construction.”
