Voters will choose between two Democratic candidates, Erika Geiss and Robert L. Kosowski, on the Democratic Primary Ballot on Aug. 8 for the 6th District State Senate.
The 6th District covers Belleville, Westland, Romulus, Taylor, Rockwood and Flat Rock and the townships of Van Buren, Sumpter, Huron, and Brownstown.
There is only one Republican running in the primary.
The League of Women Voters of NW Wayne County is holding a candidates’ forum for the Democratic candidates on Monday, June 11, from 8-9 p.m. at the (Presbyterian) Village of Westland, 32001 Cherry Hill Road, Westland, MI, 48185.
The public is invited to attend and submit questions for the candidates.
