Detroit Catholic Central High School defeated Belleville High School, 35-21, in the Division 1 Regional Finals game of the Michigan High School Athletic Association on Friday, putting BHS out of the playoffs for a state title this year.
Friday’s game was the last high school game for highly acclaimed BHS quarterback Bryce Underwood who will graduate in 2025 and is committed to play at Louisiana State University next fall.
Catholic Central will meet Cass Tech next Saturday in the MHSAA semi-finals.
